It’s a change that’s been many years in the making, and one we’re really proud of.
Why did we rebrand?
Rebrands and renaming a business are a big deal, and not to be taken lightly. It’s a big investment, and like all big changes, there is risk involved. So we asked ourselves some big questions, and this is where we landed:
The name ‘The Contented Copywriter’ is not reflective of who we are.
Our name was born 8 ½ years ago when I set up a freelance copywriting business while my first baby slept. But very quickly, the business grew, and it was never really just about me.
And the name was never really representative of the strategic services we provided – from brand strategy to brand voice, content strategy, content governance – and the other executional services we offered, like design. By its nature, The Contented Copywriter is narrow and singular, and that couldn’t be further from the truth for our agency.
The name ‘The Contented Copywriter’ is not reflective of where we’re going.
We have big ambitions for our business. We want to make sure we’re supporting our clients in the way they need to be supported – with a creative and strategic approach. And we want to make sure we can continue to adapt and grow into the future, as the marketing landscape continues to evolve with AI and shifting workforces.
We want to better communicate what we’re about and how we can help – and that’s why the name had to change.
So, what is Wonderthink all about?
We’re the experts in strategic storytelling for brands who think big.
We create wonderful content. We unlock wonder and creativity in your brand, layer it with strategic thinking, and bring it to life through content creation and marketing.
We’re strategists, award-winning copywriters, designers, thinkers, and doers. We have that rare combination of big thinking and get-shit-done practicality. We’re an extension of your team, with outside, big-picture perspective. And we’re told we’re pretty darn lovely to work with, too.
Why the name?
There’s a great quote by Socrates: “Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.”
Wonder, curiosity, creativity and imagination – these are critical elements of successful business and marketing. Too often, we rush straight to the planning and execution. But great thinking starts with wonder.
So we’re here to help you unlock wonder. To breathe life into your stories. We’re devoted to creativity, to smart thinking, to the craft of storytelling, and to taking inspired action.

- We’re still a privately-owned company – i.e. owned by me 🙋🏻♀️
- Our wonderful team remains exactly the same
- Our contracts and invoicing still stand exactly as they are (we’re technically The Contented Copywriter trading as Wonderthink Pty Ltd)
- Our services to you remain the same
